I have been training in Gao Shan since 1991 after my son started. I initially began training Gao Shan to support him and get fit after giving up smoking. In 1996 I passed my 1st Dan Black Belt. I initially trained under Sensei Dave Skyner who supported me and helped me to get to my current grade. I enjoy teaching the children and passing on what I have learned to them. We also as a club attend competitions frequently! The kids love to get involved in competitions to both win trophies and also pit their skills against other martial artists from around the country.
I still love Gao Shan and Martial Arts as much as I did when I first started! The day I stop enjoying it is the day I leave.
